Mark Splinter: I was born in seventies London, under attack from terrorists and rioters. England was changed from left to right wing by Margaret Thatcher, raising a generation of Thatcher's Children, rude, selfish, individualist and consumerist. Some of us grew up to be one-love anti-war ravers instead, spoiling her evil plan. So this mix is dedicated to all the original rave crew who refused to conform - now we're older and more sensible, but the influence of that movement is still alive in the new generation's music. We all need that spirit now, more than ever.
